Kayak Rental
At Take Off Adventure Rentals, we want to get you out on the water. We are blessed with beautiful rivers, lakes and beaches to explore and are lucky to be able to get out most of the year. Our shop is open from April to October so you can take advantage of all that Vancouver Island has to offer.
While you might not have the means to transport a kayak, we don't want that to stop you. We rent inflatable kayaks that come in bags with straps to carry wherever your adventures take you. Our open rental kayaks are sturdy, with stiff bottoms and soft sides. We have single and double kayaks, and one that is even rigged up for fishing! Every kayak rental comes with a quality pfd, water safety kit and of course a paddle. The kayaks inflate quickly and easily with included pumps, but electric pumps are also available to rent.
We are happy to help you decide where to take your rental kayak, as there are so many places to choose from in Oceanside and around Vancouver Island. We have peaceful lakes within a 20 minute drive, serene estuaries, or you can catch a sunset off one of our many beautiful local beaches. Wherever you go for a paddle, a kayak is a great way to explore and take in the Island beauty.

Our kayak rentals are easy to enter if you have mobility issues, and you don't have to go very far to enjoy your trip. Floating along is encouraged! Get close to the water, stay dry, have fun. Experience the freedom of being on the water and seeing our beautiful Island from a different perspective.
When renting a kayak we recommend sandals or water shoes for wet entry, clothes that offer sun protection and a hat. Snacks and drinks are always encouraged so you can hang out on the water for awhile. It's also a great idea to check the tides if you don't want to walk out too far with your kayak.
