We are always available if you want to chat, but here are a few answers to common questions we get.

FAQs

Do i need to know how to ride a bike?

Yes, friend, you definitely need to know this. While we would love to teach you how, for safety reasons all riders should already be comfortable on a bike. If you do know how to ride a bike, then you should be stoked to know that riding an e-bike is just like riding a regular bike—only easier! Sweet!

How long does the battery last?

Well, you know the battery is drained when it starts getting really hard to pedal. But no worries, because these bikes have plenty of range and depending on how much you lean into the throttle you should be good for most of the day. But please remember to check your battery power often—after all, we won’t be there when you’re cruising on your adventure. So make sure when you get to the farthest point in your journey that you have enough power to get back.

What happens when my battery runs out?

Whew buddy that sucks! Okay, look, we did tell you to check your battery, right? Sucks but you gotta pedal it back to the shop, or get a lift with a friend.

What happens if the bike gets damaged or stolen?

Well, that’s a huge bummer, and our policy is that you are liable for any major damages or theft once you leave our shop. That’s why we require a deposit before you take the bike. So please use your lock and treat the bike as your own. Your rental agreement will make all of this clear.

What happens if i loose my lock combo?

Just give us a call and we will text it to you. Easy!

What happens if I crash?.png

Well hopefully you wore your helmet. They are not just there to make your hair look rad—they can save your life! We have a basic First Aid kit for boo-boos and scratches, but if you need something more there is a Walk-In Medical Clinic in Parksville. If for some reason your bike is damaged in the crash, just call us and we will come pick it up.

Do i need to know how to ride a bike?

Well, we like to think the hardest part of Paddle Boarding is blowing up the SUP. Once you got that done and take a rest you can get it in the water. From there we suggest starting out on your knees if you have never been before. If you have well then why are your reading this?

What happens when my battery runs out?

We hope you were paying attention when our Good Times Technician gave you the run through on how to put the SUP together but if you weren’t you can find the info you need right here and probably some info you didn’t need.

Again we hope you were paying attention at the shopt but if you were dreaming of some tasty waves re you could struggle and try to repack the SUP, or you can go here for a quick lesson on the best way to pack it away.
